I moved to Texas for college after living in Colorado for eighteen years. I had found a church in Colorado that I loved, and I was involved in their children’s church for seven years. When I moved to Texas my freshman year of college I was trying to find a church I could get plugged in to and feel comfortable. I had tried several churches and just could not see myself thriving and growing in my faith there. Going into my sophomore year I had given up trying to find a church and was just settling with a church. My roommates at the time had visited Cross Timbers and loved it. I had thought to myself, why not try something new? The minute I had walked through the front doors it felt like a breath of fresh air. I felt like I belonged and like there was a reason for me to be there. Through that first service I began to feel more and more at home, and I knew this was where I was supposed to be. I immediately got plugged into Cross Timbers College and Cross Timbers Kids. I have loved every second of being apart of a church that feels like a family.
