Mending The Soul

Mending The Soul is a group for women affected by abuse.

The first step in healing is to choose to work through the healing process. The journey may seem long and uncertain, but peace and wholeness are worth it. This group will give you choices – to build safe relationships, to be comforted and to comfort to others, to be honest and let go of lies, turn away from distractions and numbing behaviors, to choose rest and take time to listen to your heart and feel again. You don’t have to go it alone. Be assured God will be with you each step of the way.

Premarital Counseling

The Healing Place puts a high priority on preparing couples for marriage. We want to help you evaluate your relationship for potential problems before your ceremony. Many issues that cause stress in marriage are manageable with godly counsel. A good marriage takes a lifetime of work. Laying a good foundation makes it easier. Couples will need to complete the online Prepare & Enrich assessment before premarital counseling begins.
After registering for premarital counseling, couples will be sent a link to take the online Prepare & Enrich assessment. There is a $35 fee per couple paid online to take the assessment. The assessment will pinpoint relational strengths and reveal growth areas. You will receive relational tools to improve your communication, for healthy conflict resolution, to understand the impact of friends and family on marriage, and to help you build spiritual, physical and emotional intimacy. Your one-on-one sessions will be virtual, via Zoom and will focus on issues specific to your relationship and wedding ceremony planning.
Couples who complete premarital counseling will be receive a “Twogether In Texas” certificate for a discount on their marriage license.

These Premarital Counseling classes will meet via zoom. You will be emailed the zoom link after registration. This may become an in-person group if COVID-19 restrictions are lifted.
