At Cross Timbers, one of our Core Values is generosity.

Cross Timbers loves to helps people who find themselves in a crisis or that need practical help to provide for their daily needs. Those who need assistance will need to complete a Request for Assistance Form before scheduling meeting.

Each applicant is carefully reviewed and all information is held in strict confidence. Cross Timbers reserves the right to either provide everything the applicant requests, only a portion, or they may refuse the request if they believe it will reinforce negative or irresponsible behavior.

Required Documentation

If you are requesting financial assistance, the following documents will be needed:

  • Request for Assistance Form (Printable)
  • Household Budget (Printable)
  • Supporting Documentation, such as:
    • Proof of current address (current lease or mortgage statement)
    • Proof of all expenses (mortgage/rent, utility bills, child care, auto payments)
    • Documentation on any crisis (doctor’s letter, police/fire reports, paid receipts for unusual expenses)

Car Repairs

Our Car Repair program designed is to assist single parents, the unemployed and under-employed as well as those who are not currently able to afford minor vehicle repairs and/or maintenance.

Note: Car repair assistance is only considered during months that the Fix My Ride event is not available. If Fix My Ride is coming soon, please wait until registration is open to complete the FMR form.

Request for Assistance Application

  • Request For Assistance Guidelines
    1. We will assist our attendees first. Non-attendees will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
    2. We primarily assist with rent, mortgage and utilities. We may consider other needs if we deem them to be a necessity.
    3. We will provide assistance of a maximum of one time per year per family.
    4. If you are asked to come back for an interview, please arrange for childcare during the time scheduled for the appointment.
    5. Please bring or submit a copy of the bill or a copy of your lease you are seeking assistance for. Please do not bring the original.
    6. No cash will be given out at any time for any reason. Cross Timbers Community Church (CT) will submit payment directly to the company to which the payment is owed.
    7. If assistance is given, you may still be responsible for a portion of your rent, mortgage, utilities, car repair or home repair.

    I hereby authorize the release of information to Cross Timbers Community Church (CT) to receive the assistance I am requesting. I further certify the information I have stated is true and correct and that all income is reported. I understand CT may verify the information on this application and that deliberate misrepresentation of information may subject me to denial of assistance/services.
  • I give permission for CT to discuss my case with other agencies, businesses, churches, attorneys, individuals, and any other deemed necessary to verify application information and/or identify additional sources of assistance. I understand that all information will remain as private as possible within these entities.
