Until I was six or seven, I regularly attended church.  But I did not understand what it meant to have a relationship with Jesus. My family stopped going to church due to my parents work schedules. In my 8th grade year, I was 12 or 13, I am now 15, I felt very isolated from the people around me and from myself.  I had a lot going on, and knew that I needed to do something about it. Around this time, the Sparks family introduced me to Cross Timbers. A change occurred. My life took a turn for the better and I started to have a connection with Jesus. Since then, my relationship with Him has continued to grow. I had experienced a love like no other and a relationship that is incomparable.

Last year at camp I had decided that I wanted to be baptized, and now I am finally pursuing that decision and I couldn’t be happier. I have learned a lot about my self.

I have learned how important it is to have a relationship not only with Jesus, but also with others around me, as they are important Godly relationships in my life. I am forever thankful for who I am today, and I would not be that person without Christ. I am able to look back, and appreciate all that has changed about me because of Him.
