Believe Part 3
Message Summary: Jesus wants His sons and daughters to believe the truth about what He says about them and NOT what the enemy says to feel (i.e., shame, condemnation, depression, unworthiness). Jesus paid the price for our sins and wants us to rest in, and enjoy his love, grace, and peace. We do not need to perform or work for God’s love. This is the gift we are all to freely receive. You cannot earn the gift but can only choose to receive the gift of being a child of God. Just believe and receive The Father’s love and acceptance as His precious child.
Jesus wants you to know your identity in Him. The work on the cross is finished, which gives you certain rights to that finished work. Your role is to believe and walk out a life that represents your identity in Christ. We are all called to assume our rightful place as a child of God and to fully walk into our God-given identity. We are to turn away from the lies the enemy wants us to believe about ourselves and embrace the truth that we bear our Father’s image. You have the right to not live in spiritual exhaustion and not feel condemned.
Treat yourself like a child of God. How you see yourself will reflect in how you relate to others. When you know who you are in Christ you will nurture the right relationships rather than destroy them for lack of identity.
Jesus tells us the truth of what to believe.
- I will never give up on you because you are worth fighting for.
- I am with you; you are not alone.
- I am proud of you, and I love you more than you can imagine.
- What lies of the enemy have you believed?
- Why is it important to believe your identity in Christ?
- Why is it important to reject the enemy’s lies about you?
- What steps can you take to begin to develop healthy relationships with self and others based on God’s truth about you?
- How can you begin to walk out God’s truth in your life?
