Proverbs Part 3
Message Summary: Wisdom is gained or learned over time. We can receive wisdom from studying Proverbs and applying them to our lives. Proverbs can help you avoid the pit falls in life. God asks that we give Him our best in life and do things with excellence. God promises to bless us if we give him our best. What keeps us from doing our best is when we take our eyes off of Jesus and feel our best is not good enough. It’s never too late to give God our best. Our lives are compared to a race in Hebrews. Don’t compare your life with others, just run your race.
God is not calling you to be THE best. He’s calling you to be YOUR best. We often may feel like we don’t have anything to offer God, but you always have enough God can use. Give God your best, and He will do the rest. Remember when we are weak, God is strong. Remind yourself who God says you are to Him. You’re a victor, overcomer, blessed, high favored, strong etc. Stay connected to Jesus and watch Jesus’ best work through you, so you can be your best. God wants to bless you with the gift of His Holy Spirit. Ask Him and He will give you this wonderful gift of His Holy Spirit in your life.

Hebrews 12:1-2 – Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith.
