CT Students

Welcome to Cross Timbers Students (CTS)Grades 6TH-12TH

The middle and high school years can be a busy blur for students and that is why we try to keep things simple and fun at CTS. We want to help every student FOLLOW JESUS, FIND FREEDOM from the things that are holding them back, have SOMEONE TO KNOW through relationships that matter, and have SOMETHING TO DO by using their gifts, passions and story to make a difference in the places where God has put them.

The Weekend Experience

We are offering an exciting opportunity for our students to connect, grow spiritually, and have lots of fun this summer with The Weekend Experience. This will be a camp-like experience, but instead of staying in cabins at camp, the students will stay with 10 friends (grouped by age and gender) and a leader at host homes in our community. Each host home has been carefully selected and background checked. Throughout the weekend, the students will come together at the Argyle campus for special large group activities.

Dates: Thursday, July 23rd (3pm) – Saturday, July 25th (11am)
Check in: July 22 (6pm-8pm) at the Argyle campus
Ages: students entering 6th grade through graduating seniors
Cost: $100 (includes amenities for the weekend and t-shirt & journal)

Wednesday Nights with CTS

Every Wednesday night, our students are meeting virtually on Instagram. We offer live teaching and an interactive experience for students to worship and engage with our CTS leaders. As we begin to add in-person gatherings to our programming, we will update our page with the latest information.

CTS Circle Groups

At Cross Timbers, we talk a lot about drawing circles and not lines. We want to draw circles around people and not a line between them because we believe that God created us to be in community with others. CTS Circles were born from this idea and are a weekly opportunity to gather in a small group setting to explore the Bible, discuss how we apply it’s truths in our day-to-day lives, connect with one another, and pray together. Circles are a welcoming and safe place to ask questions and share honestly, so these groups are comprised of students of the same grade and gender. Circle Leaders are caring adult Serve Team members who have been approved by the Student Ministry Staff and have completed a background check.

Currently, our students are meeting in virtual Circle Groups via Zoom. These weekly gatherings give our students an opportunity to dig into what we talked about on Wednesdays as well as make connections with students their age and get to know a leader who cares about them.

As the next generation, Students are a vital part of Cross Timbers! Look around and you are bound to see students serving by operating cameras, rocking babies, greeting guests as they arrive, directing traffic in the parking lot, leading worship from the stage, teaching our CT Kids about Jesus, and so much more! Students play a huge role in making things happen on Sunday mornings and throughout the week. By giving their time and sharing their talents, students get to connect with the Church body and experience the unity that comes with being a part of something bigger than themselves. Having a Church culture of loving others through service sets students up to continue this practice after graduation and into adulthood. Use the button below to complete the Serve Team form.

It takes more than 50 adult volunteers each week to make the student ministry at Cross Timbers successful! We are very lucky to have an amazing Serve Team that builds meaningful relationships with our students as they lead Circles or Foundations, attend CTS events like Summer Camp, cheer on students at their games and performances, provide office support during the work week, and in many other roles. If you are interested in serving with CTS, we have a place for you! To join this fun and dynamic team, please click on the Serve Team form below and we will be in touch.
