Serving the community brings hope full circle
One of our regular serve team members from the Cross Timbers Hope Center, Tony, was visiting a restaurant he often frequented. While he was there, he saw another gentleman who was also a regular customer at the restaurant. The gentleman noticed Tony was wearing a Hope Center t-shirt and began to ask him about it. After hearing about all the different ways our Difference Makers were meeting the practical needs of the community, the gentleman reached into his pocket, pulled out his wallet and handed Tony several hundred dollars. He mentioned that he had family members who had experienced homelessness and needed food, so he appreciated what we were doing and wanted to help support our efforts. Tony thanked him and was excited to bring the money back to The Hope Center to give hope to more people!
