Don't Lose Your Rome | Micah Stephens

Message Resources

Message Summary

Micah challenged each of us to identify and pursue our spiritual mandate—the callings God has placed on our lives (our Rome). The journey won’t be without storms, but we must stay connected—don’t run alone. Surround yourself with strong, faithful people who will encourage you and pray for you. When life feels exhausting, keep your head up and stay focused on where God is leading. While we need community, we must also be mindful of the voices influencing us—sometimes our own inner voice can be the most critical. The people walking with us matter; they shape our experience, our journey, and our spiritual health.

On his way to Rome, Paul was delayed in Malta, but Malta was not his destination—and neither is any place where we feel stuck. Even in seasons of waiting, keep using your gifts and don’t pull away from people. Others need what God has placed in you! Paul wrote much of the New Testament from Rome, proving that even in the midst of challenges, God is still working. We don’t receive what we wish for—we receive what we fight for. Don’t miss what God has for you in your Rome, and don’t walk the journey alone!

Discussion

1. What have you identified as your Rome? Who will you invite to run with you on your journey?

2. Who are the most influential voices in your life? Are they guiding you toward your Rome?

3. Is there an area where you feel stuck right now? How can we pray for and support you?

4. Who in your life could use your encouragement and support on their journey to their Rome?
