Speaker:
God always uses people to move in others’ situations. God’s people are tools in His mighty hands to further His Kingdom! Each of us are all members of the Body of Christ who play individual parts that makes up the whole body. We are the church and are called to play our role that adds to the collective whole. We must each carry out our function for the church to be effective, which helps fulfill the purpose of the church. On the contrary, if each person does not play their part, then it hinders the body of Christ from advancing. Each child of God should know their purpose, gifts, and calling. Jesus tells us what to believe and what to do.
1. When you are saved and anointed to share the “Good News”, you must go about doing good just like Jesus. “Saved people serve people.”
2. Each person in the body of Christ are called according to His purpose.
God’s promises the generous soul will be made rich, and he who waters will also be watered himself (Proverbs 11:25). You are wise to win souls for the Lord Jesus Christ and will receive your crown in heaven.
1. How you can you use your gifts, skills, talent, purpose, and calling to advance God’s Kingdom? If you don’t know what your gifts are, what are some ways you can discover them?
2. Why is it important to know your role in the Body of Christ?
3. What next steps can you take disciple others in knowing and using their gifts for God?
John 10:10 - “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.”
1 Corinthians 12:12-20 - “For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ. For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—Jews or Greeks, slaves or free—and all were made to drink of one Spirit. For the body does not consist of one member but of many. If the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,” that would not make it any less a part of the body. And if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body,” that would not make it any less a part of the body. If the whole body were an eye, where would be the sense of hearing? If the whole body were an ear, where would be the sense of smell? But as it is, God arranged the members in the body, each one of them, as he chose. If all were a single member, where would the body be? As it is, there are many parts, yet one body.”
Matthew 20:26, 28 – “It shall not be so among you. But whoever would be great among you must be your servant.” “.. even as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
Ephesians 2:10 – “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”
